PUBLIC COMMENT ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS:

This is an opportunity for the Public to offer comments related to issues that are not currently on the agenda that council has jurisdiction over, limited to 3 minutes.

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Each new agenda item will be introduced by the Mayor (or assigned liaison) with a description of the item and explanation for recommended action. Following council discussion on each item will be an opportunity for public comment (prior to any action taken). Public comment is limited to agenda item being discussed (limit to 3 minutes

 

  1. Street closure request and noise variance from the VFW, Friday August 18th from 5pm to Saturday August 19 at 2am on 2nd street for a street dance.
  • Discuss the sidewalk in front of the VFW.
  1. Street closure request from Kootenai County Montana, September 14 from 7pm to September 17 at 3pm on Mineral Avenue from Third Street to the turnaround near BNSF for the Kootenai County Montana Chainsaw Carving Championship.
  2. Approve bid for gasoline and diesel for FY 18.
  3. Approve bid for propane for FY 18.
  4. Approve new business license received to date.
  • Libby Area Business Association-302 California Ave-Business association helping local businesses.
  • Crystal Clean-31661 US Hwy 2-House cleaning and misc.
  • Cindy’s Cleaning-67 Reese Court # 54-House cleaning, shopping lawn work and errands.
  • Leeanne Shelly Cleaning Service-85 Mountain Meadow Road-House cleaning.
  • Scooby’s Drop-in Child Care Center-1470 Minnesota Ave-Drop in daycare center.
  1. Approve renewal business licenses received to date.
  2. Approve claims for July 2017.

Manner of Addressing Council:

 

  1. Each person not a Council member shall address the Council, at the time designated in the agenda or as directed by the Council, by stepping to the podium or microphone, giving that person’s name and address in an audible tone of voice for the record, unless further time is granted by the Council, shall limit the address to the Council to three minutes.

 

  1. All remarks shall be addressed to the Council as a body and not to any member of the Council or Staff.

 

  1. No person, other that the Council and the person having the floor, shall be permitted to enter into any discussion either directly or through a member of the Council, without the permission of the Presiding Officer.

 

  1. No questions shall be asked of individuals except through the Presiding Officer.

 

  1. Any person making personal, impertinent or slanderous remarks or who shall become boisterous or disruptive during the council meeting shall be forthwith barred from further presentation to the council by the presiding officer, unless permission to continue by granted by majority vote of the council.
