Libby Police Commission

City of Libby • Lincoln County, Montana

The Libby Police Commission is a three-member board nominated by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Members must be residents of Libby and qualified to hold municipal office, and serve staggered one-, two-, and three-year terms to ensure continuity. Under Montana law, the Commission has three specific statutory functions:

Examine all applicants for the Libby Police Department.
