Mayor Hugh Taylor was appointed to the City Council in March of 2018 and now proudly serves the community as Mayor of Libby. A Libby native, Mayor Taylor raised his family here and remains deeply committed to the values and traditions that make Libby a special place to live.

He is a United States Marine Corps veteran and served on the Libby Volunteer Fire Department for more than 10 years, demonstrating his longstanding dedication to public service and community safety. Mayor Taylor is employed at Kootenai Truck Repair and brings a strong work ethic and practical leadership experience to City Hall.

As Mayor, he is committed to maintaining essential city services, supporting local businesses, and ensuring Libby continues to grow responsibly while preserving its small-town character.
