2. Changes to Libby Downtown Business District (DBD) that were made last meeting:
– Purpose and intent addition; Outside storage; Building Height; Materials for building
*Discussion on location of DBD – Marv Sathers asked about Hotel Libby. Determined to be grandfathered; changes would be on new property
*Gary Neff suggested a change to 17.24.060 Front section (re-word)
*Discussion on what a plaza/greenspace is; comparing to Montana First Bank, Litho place; some resistance to the idea of having so much space for green but then an example came up with a dining area where people could eat outside; makes environment more engaging
*Definition of plaza – discuss next time
Gary Neff motioned to accept the re-wording of 17.24.060; Marv Sathers seconded the motion, all agreed
-17.24.100: changed C1 wording; add “muted versions OF colors”
* Gary Neff wanted to talk about fluorescent
* Gary Neff asked about lot size stated in 17.24.070; talking about building size, large foot print takes away small-town feel; larger buildings better suited on highway

*Discussion on definition of “decorative”; take home to figure out working on decorative
-17.24.020 Added G because of the medical marijuana discussion in Ordinance Committee
*Medical section currently does not accept retail; commercial district does not have outright for medical and dental businesses.
*Gary Neff mentioned expansion of Libby: agrees to get rid of G and supporting retail
*Change into “OFFICES”
B. Highway District: discussion on proposed area for Highway Commercial; figuring format for highway district coding
*Red Lodge: town like Libby; good example for signage
-Hamilton: Public Garages for Libby?
