Jet Truck

In mid-January, the pump from the jet truck was removed and sent to Spokane Pump to be rebuilt. The Seals and other components were worn, the pump was losing its pressure and could not clear the sewer mains as well. The pump was replaced in the jet truck on

Sewer Main Camera
For the past 3 years or so, the wastewater department has been looking into purchasing a
camera for the sewer main collection system. They have contacted various companies selling
the camera systems and software and set up demonstration on our system. The cost has always
been a major issue with purchasing

Mild Winter
Here we are in January and we still have not had to plow the streets. With the mild
winter the street crews.have been working on projects that normally get done in the
spring or summer.

For the past month things have been changing around City Hall. The Council Chambers were turned around and is now facing in the opposite direction. This is a better fit for people attending the meetings. Those coming late or leaving early do not have to walk past

It has been over 4 years since we started a serious quest to replace and fix all non-working water meters in the city. In 2013, during the water system upgrades we added a list of water meters to be replaced. At that time, about 170 meters were on

Lighting Projects

 

Last month I spoke with the operators at the WWTP regarding the outside lighting at the plant. Over the years lights have burned out and not been replaced. During the winter months, dark mornings make this an issue as operators walk between buildings during work hours. Mike Gehrke
